Hello,

My name is Levi Gwaltney, and this website is the result of years of hard work. Beginning with a patent application, it began to take shape into what you see here. It isn't perfect, elegant or even pretty; however, it is one of my contributions to the greater internet community. This project was born out of my own desire to debate in an appropriate environment. So many times I have listened to people making comments, but because of the situation, I felt obliged to hold my tongue. There will be no tongue holding on Gauntlet Down.

One of my favorite innovations is the Put Up Or Shut Up™ function. (If I only had a nickel for every time I wanted to say that...) Many of the functionalities on this website are still in development, but I felt I couldn't hold the wider release any longer. Please accept my sincerest apologies for my fat-fingered coding attempts, and for my lack of expendible money to hire the kind of programmers needed to really do this site up right.

On this website, I take on the persona of Uncle Sammy™. I think you can tell by Sammy's representation... he is an angry, old white dude. With his hand-me-down jacket, anachronistic neckwear and patriotic ball cap, he's is ready to throw the gauntlet down!
